MARC Nixon took his season’s goal tally for Wark to 26 with a hat-trick in his side’s 6-2 home win against Heddon.

An own goal gift and strikes by Phil Thompson and Lee Telfer completed Wark’s tally with John Dunn and John Pearson replying for Heddon.

Defending champions Walker Central are still second despite a damaging dip in form. The Central were beaten 3-0 at Monkchester by Ponteland United.

Goals for Richard Kent and Gavin Wood inside the opening quarter of an hour gave Ponteland a great start.

United’s impressive victory was rubber-stamped by Max Turner who netted after the break.

Blyth Town moved up another notch after both of their substitutes scored in their 2-0 victory away to Murton.

Graeme Heath’s powerful header ended over an hour of stalemate in Blyth’s favour and with two minutes left Dan Branley doubled their lead on his debut.
