MID-TABLE Annfield Plain led on three occasions but had to settle for a draw at Ashbrooke Belford House, who remain third-top behind Ryhope CW and Scarborough Town.

Shaun Sagar, Eddie Miller and Graeme Wilson were on target for the Plain and after Michael Charlton and Lee Harrison (pen) replied, Ashbrooke grabbed a point with a header from Paul Robertson.

Ryhope CW enjoy a four-point lead following a comprehensive victory at Kirkbymoorside.

Glen Moan and John Butler set them on their way scoring inside 25 minutes but it was not until the final five minutes that John Bewick and Michael Turnbull put the game beyond the Yorkshiremen.

Scarborough Town blitzed Willington 8-1. Joe Danby (2), Mattie Brown (2), Joel Ramm, Wayne Brooksby, Georgie Rose and Nathan Cook (pen) all struck.

Seven goals were scored at Boldon CA where Houghton Town won by the odd goal. The hosts were two goals in front thanks to David Hopper and Michael Meek and after Mattie Raine reduced the deficit, Boldon went 3-1 up through Chris Robertson. Houghton levelled thanks to Wayne Harrison and Gavin Dorwood and in the last minute Brad Freeman struck the winner.

Chris Lunn was in super form for Jarrow, netting all three goals against Hartlepool, who remain bottom.

Coxhoe Athletic suffered a similar fate at Guisborough Town HC and are down to third from the basement. Ross Hodgson, Paul Milward and Anthony Bizwaz were the home team’s scorers.

New Marske had Alex Anderson sent off after just 13 minutes and Andrew Place scored the penalty which was awarded for the incident.

Anthony Rogerson doubled Silksworth’s lead and although Phil Peggs threw New Marske a lifeline, the Wearsiders held on.

An own goal by Ben Bateson put Wolviston in front but Cleator Moor Celtic produced a powerful second-half performance rewarded with strikes from Robert Fowler, Craig Scott and Lee Dunn.
