Kieron Dyer set to sign for Boro for remainder of season

MIDDLESBROUGH are today set to announce the signing for Kieron Dyer for the rest of this season.

The club expects a deal will be completed in time for the 34-year-old to be included in Saturday's squad for the trip to Ipswich Town, where Dyer began his professional career 16 years ago.

The former Newcastle United, West Ham and QPR winger has agreed a deal which would see him paid by the game at the Riverside.

Middlesbrough's fans on the whole have not been overly impressed by what has been their club's only activity during this transfer window. However, manager Tony Mowbray believes he can coax the best out of the veteran as Middlesbrough attempt to win promotion to the Premier League.

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has described the imminent signing of Mario Balotelli as a “dream come true”.

The controversial Italy international is poised to join the Serie A club from Manchester City after arriving in Milan to undergo a medical.

The 22-year-old is then expected to sign a four-and-a-half-year contract after Milan agreed a fee believed to be worth £19million, rising to £22million.
