Hartlepool beginning to put it all together

MICK Wadsworth doesn’t want to “tempt providence” but he finally feels Hartlepool United are showing signs of consistency after their latest eye-catching League One scalp.
A weekend win at high-flying Bournemouth lifted improving Pool to within four points of the play-offs – and came on the back of defeats of table-topping Brighton and Peterborough.
But the key to maintaining a concerted push at the top end of the table is matching the levels of concentration and effort against the division’s lower lights, something that Wadsworth reckons they might be coming to terms with after a run of four wins out of five.
They get a chance to test that improvement out again tonight as Yeovil – rock-bottom of League One and six points from safety – arrive on Teesside for a re-arranged FA Cup clash.
“We’ve been doing OK recently and it was an excellent win at Bournemouth. But now the key is to keep it going for as long as possible, which has been something we’ve talked about all season,” Wadsworth said.
“On our day I would argue that we could beat anyone in the division but maybe what has changed recently is we’ve got that belief and a resilience that was maybe missing earlier in the season.
