Danny Wilson has last laugh on old club

DANNY Wilson is not the sort of manager to be carried away with one result, but the former Hartlepool United boss must have been feeling a bit of self-satisfaction on Saturday.
Removed as Pool manager in December 2008, the current Swindon chief saw his side come back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Victoria Park.
His only disappointment was the fact his side did not win the game.
For Pool, though it was a case of two points dropped.
They deservedly led thanks to early goals from Adam Boyd and Antony Sweeney, but were pegged back by quick-fire goals in the second half.
Manager Chris Turner said: “It is frustrating to go two up and not win, physiologically. At half-time, I must admit I did not feel comfortable.
“We needed legs and energy to help us out and turn Swindon around.
“We ran out of steam and used Leon McSweeney and Fabian Yantorno to try and do something, but they went into a team already losing their grip on the game. To be fair to Swindon they went into the second half thinking they had a chance, turned it around and how many times would that turn into a 3-2 victory for them?
“I am relieved at that aspect of it, but that is what we are about. We have to go with the players we have - and that is what we have.”
Turner admitted the season has started well, if not better than many expectations. Victory on Saturday would have made it a great opening.
Sweeney’s charge into the area saw the ball break for Boyd to pop his shot home and then Sweeney turned scorer on 14 minutes.
When a long ball from Sam Collins was not dealt with, the midfielder was on hand to lob in from an angle.
If Evan Horwood’s rasping cross had not hit the bar and instead gone in, surely there was no way back for Swindon.
