Unibond League Division One North
NEWCASTLE Blue Star have now scored 16 goals in four games following a five-goals second-half blitz at Kingston Park.
It took the home side 25 minutes to break down a resolute Garforth defence, as Paul Brayson outstripped the back four before chipping goalkeeper Daniel Truman.
Once Steve Bowey made it two on 55 minutes, converting a cross by Chris Fawcett, there was no stopping Blue Star.
Fawcett was again the provider for Brayson's second goal and Blue Star's third and when Lee Novak was put clean through by Bowey, the former Gretna striker made no mistake. The Tynesiders then went nap with a Novak free kick before Fawcett laid on the sixth goal for David McTiernan. Brett Renshaw claimed a late consolation for Garforth.
NEWCASTLE BLUE STAR: Lowson, Craddock, Scott, Carr, Flynn, McClen (Bowey), McTiernan, Hooks (Novak), Brayson, Emms (Nicholson), Fawcett.
Referee: Mr A Forster.
Attendance: 160.
