UniBond League Division One North
DESPITE fielding a considerably under-strength side, Durham City are still unbeaten in the league after claiming another goalless draw.
On Saturday, Lee Collings’ side was unable to penetrate the Colwyn Bay defence, and they again failed to find the net.
Jonathan Smith was denied by City goalkeeper Craig Turns and Nigel Gemson should have done better but wasted a splendid heading opportunity.
It was not all Halifax, though, and on more than one occasion Stephen Harrison and Calvin Smith combined well down the right flank.
In one raid, it took a brilliant save by home goalkeeper Jon Kennedy to keep the scoreline blank but his opposite number, Turns, was equally effective, brilliantly diving to deny Junior Brown.
DURHAM CITY: Turns; Harrison, Capper, Dodds, Dixon, Laws, Smith, Houlahan, Chapman (Morris), Farrell (Toft), English.
Attendance: 1,130.
