Wearside league

ANNFIELD Plain and newcomers Kirkbymoorside remain unbeaten after three games and they shared the points in North West Durham.

It appeared Chris McGee's first-half goal might be sufficient for Plain until the visitors equalised through Sarjo Cham.

Ashbrooke Belford House were within a minute of an upset when they hosted champions New Marske. John Butler and Peter Benson rocked the visitors with early goals but two from Alex Anderson restored parity. Paul Robertson, later sent off, produced a pile-driver and Butler scored his second to restore Ashbrooke's two-goal lead.

David Hitchin reduced the deficit and in the final minute, David Hick of New Marske hit his last-gasp equaliser.

Easington Colliery have scored 10 and conceded one in two games after hitting Windscale for six. Brothers James and Robert Huntley were early marksmen and when Paul Griffith converted a penalty, there was no way back for the Cumbrians who conceded further goals to Tom Orchard (2) and Chris Tarn.

Ryhope CW were too strong for Willington where Mark Davidson rifled a hat-trick after Stephen Bagley had given his side the lead. Willington's reply was by Robert Gibson.

Coxhoe Athletic were also among the goals at the expense of Silksworth Community who have leaked 11 in three games. Paul Broom opened the scoring and although the Wearsiders levelled courtesy of Ross Taylor, Coxhoe scored through Paul Bayles (2) and Christian Holliday.

Newton Aycliffe took their tally to nine with a 3-0 victory at Cleator Moor Celtic.

Antony Campbell fired home with further goals Kyle Swankey and Liam Cooper.

Richie Playforth put Guisborough ahead at Hartlepool and Carl Duggan wrapped up the points near the end.

Teesside Athletic saw off Wolviston courtesy of Michael Douse, James Smuk and Conrad McCormack.

The games between Boldon CA and Jarrow and East Durham United and Harton and Westoe were postponed.
