BERWICK Rangers got their first away win of the season and only their third victory this campaign against Cowdenbeath at Central Park gaining revenge for their defeat by the odd goal in nine at Shielfield Park in midweek.
“It was nothing more than we deserved,” said manager Michael Renwick. “It gives the players a boost and now we have to try to keep the improvement and the momentum going.”
Berwick went behind to an early goal as defender Dean Droudge put Cowdenbeath in front after eight minutes.
Rangers fought back and got their reward when Scott Gemmill chipped the keeper. He hit the winner just after the hour, striking home from eight yards.
