To take advantage of this great offer, just collect 6 tokens per person travelling from The Journal. One token will be printed every day from Monday, January 07, 2008 until Saturday, February, 02, 2008.

You must take the tokens with you, as you will be asked to produce them for inspection on the train. 

Dates of travel

You can travel between Monday, January 14, 2008 and Sunday, March 16, 2008. (Excluding February 08 - 17 2008.)

Seats are available on off-peak services with limited availability on Friday and Sunday afternoons. There will also be limited availability when major events are taking place.

Seats are subject to availability and bookings must be made at least 7 days in advance. Please book early to avoid disappointment. At these great prices we are expecting the biggest demand for travel at weekends, so if you can travel mid-week you will have more choice.

How to book

To book visit www.journallive.co.uk/rail from Monday, January 07, 2008. This will direct you to the National Express Reader Offer welcome page, which will guide you through the simple online booking instructions. This offer cannot be booked by phone or at stations.

Bookings close on Sunday, February 03 2008.

To give you greater choice and flexibility, tickets are sold as single fares, allowing you to choose the lowest available prices for every stage of your journey. For example, you can select the reader offer fare on the outward journey and, if the return train of your choice is unavailable, you can select the best fare shown. This mix and match option will give you even greater opportunities to travel at a great price. Major credit, debit and charge cards are accepted.

Terms and conditions

In addition to the National Rail Conditions of Carriage, the following conditions apply:

:: Offer only available to holders of the appropriate number of tokens.

:: Tokens must be taken on the journey for inspection on the train. If you are unable to present the tokens when requested, you will be liable to pay the balance of the full fare for the journey. This applies to each ticket booked under the offer.

:: A set of tokens can only be used for one return journey. If you plan to use this offer more than once you will need a complete set of tokens for each return journey you make.

:: Once a booking is made no refunds or changes will be allowed

:: There are no child, Railcard or other promotional discounts available with this offer.

:: Under 5s travel free if they do not occupy a seat.

:: Offer is in First and Standard Class. If you purchase a Standard Class ticket no upgrades to First Class will be allowed.

:: Travel is only permitted on the National Express service on which you are reserved. No break of journey is allowed, except to change to/from connecting trains where these are shown on your ticket or itinerary.

:: Bookings must be made at least 7 days in advance and can only be purchased online by following the links from www.journallive.co.uk/rail from Monday, January 07, 2008.

:: Please note that engineering work may take place on some weekends during this promotion and this may affect journey times. Information will be available from the National Express website at the time of booking.
