The nearby Winston Bridge, built in 1763, is a Grade II-listed building and most famous for appearing in the 1988 wartime TV drama, A Piece of Cake, where pilots proved their worth by daring to fly under the low bridge. Although supposedly in France, it was Winston Bridge that featured in the stunt.

Winston Bridge owners enjoy a nine-month season and the park is hoping to secure a licence extension which will increase this to 11 months. In the clubhouse entertainment varies from cabaret at least once a fortnight, to quizzes and karaoke.
