WITH Christmas and the new year celebrations now over, many people find they’ve overindulged during the festive period.
Some start searching for their most forgiving clothes as their body deals with too much food, while for others a glance at the scales can seem like a nightmare worse than any horror movie.
Unfortunately, there's no way to un-eat what you've ate, but you can do some damage control and get back on track, and you can do it without punishing yourself.
Another reason we overindulge this time of year is stress. Spending all that money, and spending all that time with family members, can be a traumatic experience.
A few things you may experience after a holiday include headaches, muscle tension, trouble sleeping, depression and fatigue.
But The Journal is here to help, as we have been running our Great North Fitness Revolution since May in an effort to get the region healthy – and we’ve had some dramatic results.
We’re committed to keeping that going throughout 2012, and so rather than let these bad feelings take over, you can use these exercise ideas below to deal with those post-holiday blues.
So join fitness expert David Fairlamb to see how you can slim down and get back on track.
