FASHION chain Topshop is opening a new, bigger store in Newcastle. LIZ LAMB has the details and offers you the chance to win £250 to spend.
IT’S a high-street staple and now Topshop is set to grow in the North East. The fashion chain is moving to a new, larger shop in Eldon Square, Newcastle, and will be the first in the UK to take inspiration from the firm’s US flagship store in New York, which opened to acclaim last year.
Spread over two floors and taking up 15,102sq ft, the store will house a larger selection of Topshop’s mainline, maternity, moto denim collections, and hand-picked concessions.
Their higher-end label Topshop Boutique, will also be available and a shoe lounge and style advisors will be on hand.
Some of the interior will mirror the New York store’s design aesthetic. Men shouldn’t feel left out as Topman will be on the third floor.
To celebrate the opening tomorrow Topshop street teams will be in the city centre armed with goody bags containing gift cards worth anything from £5 to £500.
Tomorrow and Wednesday, Elle magazine contributor Jackie Dixon will be asking shoppers to show off their outfits.
Newcastle’s café Chalk&paper will be offering complementary iced frappes and cookies, and the first 100 shoppers to spend £50 or more in store will get a free exclusive Freedom for Topshop neck-lace.
Throughout February shoppers will also be given the chance to enter a “win the window” competition. Here’s a sneak peek of the fantastic designs from Topshop’s new spring/summer collection.
