Suiting for spring/summer is either lightweight or white, as Liz Lamb discovers.
WHEN the warmer weather comes out to play a wardrobe change is a must. Heavyweight fabrics in dark colours that reign supreme during winter have to be ditched in favour of lightweight fabrics and summer friendly colours.
For those who like to look stylish in suits there is plenty on offer from designers and the high street.
Moss, the branded suit specialist, has produced shorts suits which feature co-ordinating jackets and suits in light fabrics such as this, pictured, lightweight fine tooth check suit for £499. Kenneth Cole at House of Fraser has produced a white suit for spring/summer as has Next, designed to keep you cool during the warmer months.
Austin Reed also has a light weight suit priced £250 for the jacket and £100 for the trousers.
A stylish blue pinstripe linen and cotton suit also features in the summer collection for Gieves and Hawkes and for those feeling the pinch of the recession Burton men’s wear has a suit for just £99.
Whatever style you choose there is plenty on offer to keep you looking and feeling cool this summer.
