BIG hair is back, says Neville Ramsay of Sunderland’s Ramsay&Johnson salon.
The celeb crimper believes if there is one trend to follow this season then it’s volume, volume and more volume.
Curls have also made a comeback and straighteners are being ditched in favour of rollers.
"It’s all about big hair," says Neville.
"Whereas straighteners were popular last year, this year heated rollers are back.
"The bigger the hair the better. Lady Gaga has been a huge influence on hair this year as she has with fashion.
"It’s all about volume.
"Bobs, such as that sported on Dannii Minogue, will also be big and crimping is also going to be popular again."
Salon manager Paul Johnson has produced a vintage collection for spring/ summer.
The collection is a throwback to classic, old school hairdressing.
Paul says: "It’s beautiful, elegant couture styling, yet still bang up to date.
"Taking inspiration from screen icons the collection has a real demure feel to it, simple styling yet striking at the same time."
Key looks include sleek bob with a full fringe (1), large curls with masses of volume (2) and short crops with lots of volume at the roots.
