IF you are suffering from the January blues cheer yourself up with some exciting new additions to your make-up bag. LIZ LAMB brings you best of the beauty looks for spring.

Mac

THE cosmetic giant presents not one but three new looks.

The first is In The Studio, a collection of uber-cool products which include studio-fix lash in black fix (£12.50) and studio brown, which has a rubber moulded brush designed to kill clumps, and studio-fix powder, (£19) a foundation and powder in one to give complete coverage.

Love Lace is inspired by a fascination with lace: from Evita to Marlene Dietrich to modern-day screen stars. It features intense smoke eyes, shadows of frosty grey and deep blue, kohl power pencils in raven and rich black (£12.50), 44 Lash fake eyelashes that give a dramatic winged corner (£8.50) and nail lacquer in creamy pale gray taupe (£8).

The third collection is Warm and Cozy, a selection to add warmth and glow. It includes essential oils of sweet orange with lavender and grapefruit with chamomile (£13.50) which aim to leave the skin feeling moisturised, tinted lip conditioners and shadesticks in frosted golden yellow and dark chocolate brown (£13).

Lipsticks (£12.50) come in shades such as spiced tea and golden beige, eyeshadows in warm camel, reddish brown and pale yellow (£11) and nail varnish in nude and chocolate (£8).

KEY COLOURS: Camel, raven and frosted blue.

KEY PRODUCTS: Mineralize All Over lotion (£20.50) for face and body, zoom lash in black and Light That Fire lip glass (£12) in burnt coral with pearl.

Revlon

BRIGHT lips are a feature for Revlon's spring/summer range. They have brought out five lip glosses, including super-lustrous lip gloss in peach petal and nail varnishes in lilac and mint green.

Revlon’s spring looks were showcased at the sass&bide show at London Fashion Week.

KEY COLOURS: Lilac, peach.

KEY PRODUCTS: Double-twist mascara, for volume and definition and colorstay mineral mousse for a flawless matt finish which lasts up to 16 hours. Comes in five different shades.

Sisley

THIS spring it’s all about bright eyes, bold lips and luminous, toned-down skin.

The Botanical eye shadow collection is a range of bright colours from sky blue to mango and garden rose.

Purple is a key colour and Sisley has introduced an eyeshadow in ultra violet and a phyto kohl perfect eyeliner in purple. For a softer look, you can mix Sisley’s lavender and subtle shade of lilac.

Safari-chic look was popular on the catwalks and the make-up brand has eye shadows in dune, vanilla and toffee to recreate the look.

Statement lips are a major look for both spring and summer. Sisley has a lipstick in mandarin, baroque red and grenadine.
