Treatment turns skin silky smooth

THIS week we road-test a Comfort Zone Hydramemory facial ... Central heating and chill winter winds can wreak havoc on skin, to say nothing of the effects of burning the candle at both ends during the festivities.
Desert conditions indoors and freezing temperatures outside can leave complexions dehydrated and in desperate need of a good drink.
A deeply-hydrating facial can work wonders though to help rebalance skin and improve moisture levels.
And Comfort Zone’s Hydramemory facial is a real treat for dry, thirsty skin. The treatment works equally well on complexions looking less than their best at the moment, as special ingredients hibiscus, honey and trehalose, taken from a desert plant, all work to increase hydration.
Relax & Glow salon in Cleadon is one of only a handful of beauty rooms in the North East to offer the luxury Italian skincare brand, Comfort Zone.
The salon itself is chic and contemporary, with seven treatment rooms. Businesswoman and beautician Fiona Lamb has created a relaxing oasis of calm, a world away from the hustle and bustle of busy lives.
And for busy folk in East Boldon she has another Relax & Glow salon in their vicinity.
Therapist Cheryl began the facial with Comfort Zone’s signature ‘Tranquillity Welcome’ which involved inhaling the scents of a range of delicious essential oils.
Skin was then double cleansed and toner applied before being exfoliated with a scrub containing calcified seaweed.
Shoulders, neck, face and scalp were then massaged before a cream-based super-moisturising Hydramemory mask was applied to the complexion. While this was getting to work Cheryl treated feet to a relaxing massage.
The first mask was removed and replaced with a cooling gel mask for eyes to help combat puffiness and plump up fine lines.
The treatment was finished off with a generous application of deeply-hydrating moisturiser to complexion and décolletage.
Skin felt like silk at the end of a deliciously pampering one-hour treatment.
