Fragrances for children

PERFUME for children? You may scoff but it’s a multi- million pound industry.
Now little girls and teenagers can fill their dressing tables with beautiful-crafted bottles with heavenly scents.
Thirteen-year-old Laura and seven-year-old Alanah tried out some of most popular fragrances for the younger generation.
Avril Lavigne
The black and pink heart-shaped bottle was very popular with both testers and it has a little silver stud collar round the neck of the bottle.
It’s a modern and sweet fragrance without being too overpowering.
Barbie
This is strictly for little girls as it has a very sweet smell. It’s a delightful little pink bottle though and would look lovely on a dresser.
Ideal for seven and under but perhaps the least popular of all smells according to our testers.
Hannah Montana
In case you don’t know Hannah Montana is one of the top-rated Disney Channel TV shows. My kids adore her and now there is a fragrance too. It’s a delicious and fruity fragrance designed for teens, but according to my testers would most suit girls under 10. It’s nothing too overpowering which is really what you want for little girls. A complete hit with Alanah.
High School Musical
Still hugely popular with kids although there are no plans to bring out a fourth movie. Bright and cheery packaging and a visually pleasing bottle. Appeals to the younger crowd who loves Zac and his friends.
