PUT some oomph back into your pout with some of the lipsmackingly good new darker shades. This week Beauty Bible roadtests some of the latest brown shades.
Rimmel moisture renew - Coffee shimmer £5.49
Yum! This had a pleasant taste and was remarkably good value. It had staying power and moisturised the lips nicely. 7 out of 10.
Too faced - Cougar. £12
This was one of our favourites. It had a creamy texture which really seemed to nourish the lips and the colour was subtle but not too subtle. It was also long-lasting. Perfect pink packaging as well. 8 out of 10.
17 Lasting Fix – Dare to Bare. £3.71
This Boots lipstick provides long lasting, non-drying coverage for your lips. Packaging a bit boring though. 7 out of 10.
Rimmel - Full On volume booster £4.99. It glides on beautifully and the resultant colour lasts for ages. It leaves the lips feeling nourished. It’s the perfect balance between major moisture and pigment packed. A shade which will look great on all skin tones. 7 out of 10.
Sisley Phyto Lip Shine-sheer toffee £22.50. A firm favourite, this might be at the pricier end of the scale but it has a creamy texture it feels divine on your lips and won’t dry them out. Comes in a gorgeous silver tube with it’s own pouch 9 out of 10.
Urban Decay sell out £12. You can rely on Urban Decay for funky packaging and this lipstick comes in a purple tube with a dagger on the lid. Slightly heavier than most lipsticks this had real staying power. 8 out of 10.
