TFM's Judie McCourt on her beauty treatments

TFM radio presenter Judie McCourt always looks good and her attitude to beauty treatments is very much of the bring it on school of thinking. From spray tans to manicures, Judie reveals all.

It’s fair to say radio presenter Judie McCourt has invested in herself big style when it comes to making the very best of her attributes.

We’re talking brand new veneers for teeth, Botox injections, spray tans, laser hair removal, manicures and pedicures. And then there’s the vampy 3D lashes and Restalyne for perfectly plumped-up lips.

Just back from her travels to Marbella and Dubai, Judie is the sort of lady who can slip into a kaftan and flip flops and look the business at the drop of a hat.

Looking good is all part of the job for the radio presenter and groomed girl about town.

Judie, 36, presents the weekend breakfast shows for TFM Radio on Teesside, sister station to Metro Radio, as well as working as an ambassador for the People’s Postcode Lottery, delivering cheques to street prize winners. She is also the face of North East furniture company Michael O’ Connor.

Judie, who is married to Chris Gardner and lives at Merrybent near Darlington, says: “It sounds like I’m a high maintenance kind of girl but really I have invested in myself so I can keep it low maintenance.

“I think you have to make the best of what you have got. I’m never going to be the thinnest or the prettiest person but I make the best of what I’ve got.

“I like a spray tan, I always have a St Tropez. I think you feel better with a bit of colour and your clothes look better. “I like to have my eyelashes done – I use 3D lashes which are bonded to each lash. I have had them for a year or two. I feel a bit more glamorous and you don’t need to wear mascara.”

Judie has had laser hair removal on her underarms. “I used to shave my armpits, but this is like a new lease of life.

“It’s really effective – you have to be hair free for summer.

“I have manicures and pedicures – I have a natural or French polish on my nails.”

Judie’s hair is low-maintenance though, just needing a trim every few months.

Her brother Bryan McCourt is director of Collagenics North East, so Judie pops in to one of the clinics locally for Botox top-ups.

“It’s one of the best treatments I could ever recommend. That and the hair removal.

“I go two to three times a year for Botox and I have my lips plumped up once a year.”
