Outside-in festival heads for The Sage

SOME of the biggest names in pop are set to appear at a North East music venue for a televised concert.

Chart toppers including Pixie Lott, N-Dubz, Tinchy Strider, Taio Cruz, Alphabeat and the Lostprohets will be strutting their stuff at the Outside-In Festival.

The event is due to be held at The Sage Gateshead next month. The Outside-In Festival aims to recreate the fun of a summer festival in the middle of winter in a venue where the weather has no chance of spoiling the event.

Some of the proceeds from the event will be donated towards The Prince’s Trust and local projects in the region. The show will be broadcast live in Metro Radio and also recorded to be played at a later date on Channel 4 and 4Music.

Neil McCallum, head of T4 and Music at Channel 4 said: “We are delighted to be involved with the Outside-In Festival and kick start the new decade with a big brand new event in the Channel 4 Music calendar and one that looks set to start the New Year in spectacular style.”

The show will take place on January 30 and tickets cost £38 each.
