The Shipley Art Gallery on Prince Consort Road, Gateshead, could help you out.

Its 20th annual Christmas Present exhibition runs until December 24 and features unique items made by some of the country’s leading craft makers and designers.

To mark the anniversary, craft experts from across the UK were invited to nominate an artist they rate particularly highly to participate in the exhibition.

Also running until Christmas Eve is Gateshead Art Society’s annual exhibition curated by the Shipley. Here, too, you might find something to brighten a loved one’s Christmas morning.
