SANDRA Bernhard’s one-night appearance at The Sage Gateshead this week has been cancelled.
The outspoken US comedienne was due to mark the 20th anniversary revival of her stage show Without You I’m Nothing at The Sage on Saturday. It was to be her only UK tour date outside London.
But, due to a change in Bernhard’s schedule, the show has now been cancelled, with the hope of re-scheduling it later in the year.
Those who have already bought tickets have been notified about a refund.

A PASSIONATE love story takes the Little Theatre in Gateshead back to the 1950s next week.
Terence Rattigan’s The Deep Blue Sea runs at the theatre in Saltwell View next Monday to Saturday.
The play tells of a destructive passion which leads a woman to lose her heart, social position and almost her life.

SUNDERLAND’S newest live music venue clearly struck a chord with the band which helped launch it at the weekend.
The New Beautiful South performed on the opening of Campus Academy at Charles Street on Saturday and, afterwards, lead singer Dave Hemmingway pledged to return during their winter tour at the end of the year.
He told the owners: “You have a great live music setup and venue and there is no doubt that you will put live music in Sunderland on the map.”
N Dubz and Kajagoogoo are among acts due to appear at the venue in coming months.
