Sunderland close in on Steve Bruce
SUNDERLAND are closing in on the appointment of Steve Bruce - but nothing will be confirmed today.
The Black Cats have agreed a compensation package with Wigan to take Bruce to Wearside and are now locked in discussions about his personal terms in Portugal, where the Latics boss is on holiday.
Senior Sunderland sources have told the Journal that an announcement could be made in the next 48 hours however, with Bruce being formally presented later this week.
