Review: Pussycat Dolls, Metro Radio Arena

Pussycat Dolls at Metro Radio Arena

SCREAMING fans were treated to a solid three hours-plus of pure entertainment from the Pussycat Dolls as they shimmied across the stage performing hit after hit.

Wednesday night’s entertainment started with opening act, Lady Gaga, a newcomer in pop, and the gentleman of R&B, Ne-Yo.

Lady Gaga took to the stage in silver bikini bottoms and performed her international club banger, Just Dance.

Ne-Yo, looking rather dapper in black pants and shirt, a white tie and a grey jacket performed a mixture of hit songs enticing the crowd the whole time.

Songs included Sexy Love, So Sick of Love Songs, Do You and a medley of songs he’d written for other artists.

Ne-Yo ended his incredible set with a personal favourite, Miss Independent and Closer as the finale with a great dance routine.

The Pussycat Dolls delivered what all their fans came out for: a good time and sexy girls in tight clothes.

The Dolls, as they refer to themselves, performed songs from both of their albums including Take Over the World, I Don’t Need a Man, I Hate This Part Right Here, Buttons and the song that launched their career, Don’tcha.

The girls also sang solo songs and performed a bit of old school burlesque while singing Big Spender.

My only complaint is they screamed too much. However, I must say, lead singer Nicole sounds amazing live. and the end result is Newcastle loves the Pussycat Dolls.
